United Federation of Teachers: Manhattan parents meeting and mini workshop

Dear parents, grandparents and education activists,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a restful and fun holiday season.

Please join us for our next UFT Manhattan parents meeting and mini workshop this Thursday, Jan. 8 from 9 to 11 a.m. or next Tuesday, Jan. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. We will have a workshop about grant writing from the New York City Foundation Center and discuss upcoming lobbying trips to Albany for additional funding for education.

There will also be a housing clinic for anyone seeking specific legal advice about harassment tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Goddard Riverside Community Center at 593 Columbus Ave. An attorney from the Urban Justice Center will be in attendance. Directions »
