School Of Rock Tickets

Hello Families!

Have you made your family donation yet to EVCS? If you haven’t, we are offering an extra incentive – make your donation by Sunday, Nov 11 before 8PM you will be entered into a raffle to win 2 tickets to School of Rock on Broadway! We figure you might have some questions, here goes:

Do I need to make the annual contribution of $500 to be entered?
No, contribute at any level and you are entered into the raffle!

I already gave, am I entered?
Yes! If you donated any amount to the family contribution this school year then you are entered.

When are the tickets for?
Once we pick the winner you can schedule a date that works for you – evening and matinee options are available.

What are the odds?
Well right now we have 49 individual donors… so that’s pretty good odds! Certainly a lot better than the recent lottery and you probably bought tickets for that too. And unlike the lottery, with this you can’t lose since all donations are tax deductible and go to benefit the kids of EVCS.

How do I make a donation?

World Class Partners… With Your Help

Dear Families,

Join us in reaching our community goal of $40,000 in family contributions by December 31, 2018! We are inching closer but still have a long way to go.

Below is a detailed budget that shows exactly what your donations support. In addition, the Parent Association provides $1,000 for every class in the school from Pre-K to 5th including Art, Music, and Gym so that students can go on field trips without paying fees and teachers can purchase last minute supplies.

CLICK HERE to make a donation and see our progress in real-time on our fundraising tracker, (it’s really cool, you have to check it out). And remember, no amount is too big or too small and ANY amount is deeply appreciated.

Please support us in achieving our goal and make a donation today.

Thank you,

EVCS PA Fundraising Committee

EVCS needs you!!

Dear Families,

Right now the EVCS Parent Association is in the middle of our biggest fundraiser of the year. It’s not an event. You won’t need a babysitter and you don’t have to put on a costume (that is coming soon). But you do need to take action. Right now.

Between now and the end of the year, the Parent Association needs to raise more than half our budget to help make EVCS the special place that it is via direct family contributions. This year we are asking each family to give $500.

Donate Now

We understand that for some families this really is a lot – please only donate what you can. We also know that some families can give more, and we welcome that. If you are one of those families, please consider sponsoring an additional family, or giving whatever you can to help us meet our goals. We are truly a diverse community and if we work together we can raise all that we need to support the amazing extra programs that our kids enjoy each year. Donations can be split up into manageable monthly payments throughout the school year and all donations are tax deductible.

And one last thing – we are aiming for 100% family participation. Last year fewer than one third of our families made a contribution at any level. We know we can do better and we mean it when we say no amount is too small. Many people donating $10 or $25 adds up quickly. And, please know that all donations are anonymous and are only seen by the EVCS PA Treasurers.

PS – Have more to offer? Join us at the next FUNraising meeting on October 5 – we meet the first Friday of every month in the back room of The Roost right after morning drop off. Each meeting is a combo of brainstorming, organizing, networking and joining forces to figure out how we can help our school and family community be the best it can be. Or, send ideas our way via email at:

Final week of the READING OLYMPICS!

Reading-Olympics 1

I hope you are all enjoying your spring break. If you stayed local, it doesn’t feel much like spring today, but it’s a great day to curl up with a book.

This is the last week to complete those reading logs and get donations from sponsors. We will be collecting all your envelopes from teachers as soon as we return from break. Remember to try and complete the PRINCIPAL’S CHALLENGE for reading diverse books by diverse authors. (There is a special prize for you if you do!)

And remember, if you are not with family and friends this week, you can email them THIS LINK to get donations online.

Thanks, everyone and Happy Reading!

Reading-Olympics 1

Dear EVCS Families,

The winter Olympics may be over, but the EVCS READING OLYMPICS is just beginning! (for new families- the Reading Olympics is a month long read-a-thon in which kids get sponsors who will give them money for the books they read all month long)

On Monday, March 5, your children will come home with a manila envelope and the Reading Olympics sponsor sheet and reading log. On the back will be everything you need to know to help your child participate in this wonderful fundraiser that gets our kids READING! The envelope is for collecting donations. Sponsor sheets and envelopes will be collected April 9. (you can also collect donations online, btw- it’s all explained on the sheets coming home).

So please look out for the READING OLYMPICS materials coming home Monday!

Happy Reading,
Allison Gordon (mom of Elias- 4th grade)
