EVCS Weekly: Friday, October 29

Dear EVCS Parents and Guardians,

Remember – You are doing a terrific job! The kids are super excited (and so are we) about EVCS Fall Ball happening this Sunday in the yard!  Everyone needs a little community time about now – so arrive in costumes and let the fun begin!  Until then, let’s see what else is coming up.

This Weekend

Sunday,  October 31
Fall Ball 2021
To ensure that we have a safe and fun Fall Ball, there will be a staggered entry. We are asking parents to plan an arrival time by using this form: Fall Ball Entry Times.
We encourage Pre-K and Kinder families to come from 11:30 a.m. so that the younger kids can enjoy the Ball first. Masks will be required by all guests during the entire event.
Thanks for your understanding and compliance to our safety protocols this year!

COVID Testing
When a student is selected to be tested there will be a follow up email coming from Fulgent Genetics. Not to be alarmed, this is the basic follow up to make you aware that the test happened and how to review the results. Liz will also email all tested families using the same address the testing lab uses.  Be sure your phone number and email address is up-to-date in your NYC SA. If you have questions, please let us know. COVID testing is a crucial part of our layered approach to keeping our community safe and healthy.  Every week the DOE will be conducting random testing of 10% of our 1st-5th graders who have provided consent.  If your child is in the 1st through 5th grade and you have not already done so, please give your consent now at your child’s NYC Schools Account.  But regardless of your child’s grade, we strongly encourage all of our families to have their children tested regularly.   Please note that testing is free and easy at NYC Health and Hospitals locations.
