EVCS Weekly, Friday, May 14

Dear EVCS Families,

We had an energized week at EVCS! The wheels are turning and progress is happening on all fronts. Keep up the good work. Thank you all for being diligent each morning by checking in on your child’s health and keeping them home when they are not feeling 100%.

Our core value is social action! Our 5th graders have been doing a virtual residency with the Service Learning Project, which works with students to identify an issue, research and learn about it, and then choose an action to take. Ruth’s class chose to address issues of sexism and the gender wage gap, Jenna’s class chose the issue of LGBTQ+ rights, and Lauryn’s class chose climate change. Each class worked together to develop an action, and they would love your support! Please have a look at their projects and support their initiatives by signing their petitions, buying a T-shirt and deepening your own awareness.

Jenna’s class: LGBTQ+ Rights Petition and Tshirt Fundraiser

Daily Health Screening.
Please continue to take the daily health screening seriously and pay attention to the questions, as they update when information and guidance changes. Smart phone or link to the URL is here. Thank you in advance for continuing to practice safe measures. If you are having any trouble signing in, please reach out to us. We remind everyone to stay vigilant!
