EVCS Weekly, Friday, April 23

Dear EVCS Families,

Our in-person learners will be coming into the building 5 days a week starting this Monday, April 26th! We are making safety a priority and trying to be mindful of the needs of all students as we do our best to make this a smooth transition.

Arrival
If your child is going to eat breakfast, please know the gates will be open at 8:00 a.m.* so that kids can eat outside before school begins at 8:30 a.m.

Dismissal takes place in the school yard:
1:45 for Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade
1:55 for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade
2:00 for PreK
We ask that you arrive 5 minutes early to meet your child and promptly depart to minimize traffic and congestion in the yard. Thank you in advance

Town Hall virtual meeting today Friday, April 23, starting promptly at 4:00 p.m. here. If you have questions, please bring them, hope to see you there.

Daily Health Screening.
Please take the daily health screening seriously and pay attention to the questions, as they update when information and guidance changes. If you have not done so already, you can make it easier on yourself by adding the application directly to your smartphone or save the URL to access this important daily screening: Daily Health Screening smart phone or link to the URL here. We need parents and guardians to fill this out for each child. Thank you in advance for continuing to practice safe measures. If you are having any trouble signing in, please reach out to us. We remind everyone to stay vigilant!

Earlier this week the City announced a bold plan for summer programming called Summer Rising. This summer program will be free and available to all students in grades K-8, and will include a balance of academic classes and enrichment opportunities. It will run Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, from July 6 to August 20. Registration opens on April 26th.
