Daily Health Screening.
Please take the daily health screening seriously and pay attention to the questions, as they update when information and guidance changes. If you have not done so already, you can make it easier on yourself by adding the application directly to your smartphone or save the URL to access this important daily screening: Daily Health Screening smart phone or link to the URL here. Save the date Sunday, April 25, What’s for Dinner? EVCS to host a live cooking workshop with parent and chef Danny Bowien, Mino’s dad, and owner of Mission Chinese. See flyer below. The Events Committee is building some excitement around a couple exciting end-of-year activities! They will be reaching out soon for donations and volunteers. The Pre-K Application Deadline Extended —Apply by 4/19/2021
Pre-K admissions is not first come, first served. All applications submitted by the April 19 deadline will be treated the same. Siblings at EVCS also need to put in an application. If you have questions please reach out to us.
You can apply to pre-K one of two ways:
• Online with MySchools. This option is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in English, Arabic, Bangla, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.
• By phone at 718-935-2009. Call Monday through Friday, 8am – 6pm. Language supports are available by phone in more than 200 languages.

How is Cheese Made?
Learn about the farm at Valley Shepherd, vendor of Essex Market – Wednesday, April 28th at 3:00 p.m.
Ever wonder how cheese is made? Follow along with master cheesemonger Julian from Valley Shepherd Creamery as we make our very own soft cheese! We’ll learn the science behind cheesemaking, and with a few simple ingredients you’ll be able to turn regular cow’s milk into a soft fresh cheese. Plus, Julian will tell us all about farm life at Valley Shepherd where they take care of cows, goats and sheep to make lots of dairy products that we can enjoy at home! Register for your free ingredient kit by 4/19 to get a pint of Valley Shepherd’s creamy cow’s milk and other supplies, or make sure to have your own milk, lemon juice and cheesecloth at home to participate.
