It is Friday, May 1 – Day 30 of remote learning!

I hope everyone is finding ways to stay active and healthy.
We want to thank you for being supportive partners and helping your children do the best they can every single day!

Bradley shared updates to our Remote Learning Plan Wednesday and there will be an opportunity next week to meet with your teachers for live Q&A to hear more about the plans. Please find more details below.

Grade-Level Parent Q&A Sessions about Remote Learning
In order to use the time most efficiently we are suggesting that questions be submitted in advance on this form. The schedule for Q&A sessions can be found here. Please note that we will be recording the sessions so parents who are not able to attend can watch them later.

If you are an essential worker and need child care, complete this FORM to begin the enrollment process for the city childcare & enrichment centers. From doctors to grocery store workers, you all are essential to keeping our city going!

Find a Free Meal Hub Near You:
Click for locations to find “Grab & Go” meals for all New Yorkers.
Meals Hubs will operate for children and families from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and for adults from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Everyone can pick up three meals at one time, and parents may pick up meals for their children. No registration or ID is required – no one will be turned away.

Free Crisis Counseling
Free Crisis Counseling as well as additional tips to support parents with managing anxiety and other mental health concerns. Call 844-863-9314 to receive free and confidential emotional support. This link is additional stress and anxiety management techniques during this time.

Let’s Learn, NYC – NYC DOE TV Program
This daily, 1-hour TV program on PBS 13 is for kids in PreK-2nd grade featuring NYC DOE teachers. One-hour lessons include literacy, math, music, movement, science and social studies.

New, Local CSA
Click here for more information. A sliding scale payment structure offers low-cost shares to households receiving food stamps. A local beekeeper Ray Sage hived 3 new bee colonies from Georgia on the Sixth Street rooftop and the bees are active and thriving. Honey will be available for CSA members this summer!
