Dear Parents and Guardians,

We had a great 4-day week at EVCS! This week, the Parent Association approved a budget for an author visit, a new shed, and confirmed dates for the second annual FleaVCS for March 30th!

And be sure to save the date of Sunday, March 8 for the 3rd Annual District 1 Battle of the Family Bands! This is an event you will not want to miss! There will be more competition this year in the line-up. Come out and support our EVCS Family Band to cheer them in support of bringing home the trophy! Doors open at 6:00 p.m., details and ticket sales will follow.

Parents and Guardians, Come Read To Our Classes!

During the Black Lives Matter At School Week of Action, starting Monday of February 3, we are inviting families to come in to read to our classes again this year, which takes 20-30 minutes. If you are available to read during the week of 2/3-2/7, please share your availability HERE by Wednesday, January 29th.

The books we will be reading this year are All the Colors We Are by Katie Kissinger,The Story of Ruby Bridges by Robert Coles, and Milo’s Museum by Zetta Elliott. These three books each focus on different principles of the Black Lives Matter At School and are interesting and engaging books for all of our kids, grades PreK through five.

The books will be in the main office next week if you want to look through them.

If your child has shown signs of feeling ill the evening before school or if they have a fever please keep them home. Rest can help you and your child get better sooner, and it helps prevent the spread of germs. Wash hands often to help stay healthy.
