Dear Parents and Guardians,

Looking to support your young reader? The District 1 Elementary Team has developed a series of Free Early Childhood Literacy Workshops. Universal Literacy Coaches are there to provide an overview of foundational skills, specific tips, and activities to try at home. Don’t miss this opportunity; the next workshop is Wednesday, January 29 around “Fluency”. Additional details can be found on the linked flyer below. Our hope is that some of you will attend a workshop and share your notes with us! Please register with the D1 Family Coordinator Celsa Pacheco cpacheco5@schools.nyc.gov or call 212-353-2949.

Dr. Martin Luther King Day is this Monday. One way you might spend time is at the MLK Resource Fair, University Settlement Campos Plaza, 11:00 a.m. More below.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

A reminder to ALL families, to please be prompt when picking up your children.

Stay Healthy

Reminders from the DOE health & wellness: “Stay Home When Sick”
If your child has shown signs of feeling ill the evening before school or if they have a fever please keep them home. Rest can help you and your child get better sooner, and it helps prevent the spread of germs. Wash hands often to help stay healthy.
