It was great to see many of you at the Festival of Lights this week!

REMINDER
There is no school on Monday, December 23. The DOE School Calendar was updated and the Winter Recess will be from December 23 – Wednesday, January 1.

Kindergarten Admissions

Current EVCS Prek Families need to apply to Kindergarten in order to be considered for a spot next year. Children born in 2015 should apply to kindergarten this year for the 2020-21 school year. The kindergarten application period will begin on December 11, 2019. The deadline to submit an application is January 21, 2020. All families who apply by the deadline will receive a kindergarten offer in April.

As in previous years, families can apply to Kindergarten in three ways, online at MySchools, over the phone by calling 718-935-2009, or in person at a Family Welcome Center.

The Kindergarten and Gifted & Talented Admission Guides were delivered to schools and other DOE offices.
