Child’s Play NY

This fall our EVCS program will do a production of The Lion King Kids with Child’s Play NY. The African savanna comes to life on our stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle… and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

Improvisation and theater games help stoke creativity, create an ensemble and develop the spirit of play as students rehearse a play in a semester. A great session for kids to increase confidence, craft, and their ability to work as part of an ensemble. Kids learn how to create a character from a place of instinct and play. They also amass skills in singing, dance, speech, and improvisation taught by master teachers and performers at the top of their field. The class culminates in a final performance for the community.

Fridays from 2:50p-4:45p
September 13 – December 13
The program is $423 for the semester
