EVCS January PA Meeting – Recap and Updates

Hello EVCS Parents,

Thank you all of you who came to our PA meeting Wednesday!

Big Congratulations to 4th grade Mom, Anna, who won the Attendance Raffle- this month it was $10 to spend at Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery on Rivington.

Here’s the meeting recap:

save the date ver 1

Our big news is the Spring Auction Gala will be held on a new date April 6th at Performance Space NY (formerly PS122) E. 9th St and 1st Ave. This is a month earlier than originally planned so we need to start soliciting and bringing in Silent Auction items either ASAP or NOW. Auction donations are accepted online and in paper form. Click here for online donation formsletters and FAQ sheet.

The Gala Planning committee has started weekly Friday morning meetings. Come join us just after drop off in the lunchroom. While we are counting on EVERYONE to pitch-in with bringing in auction items, we also need folks to help with the planning and organizing.

Gala Teams are: Auction and Auction Item Coordinators, Location Coordinator, Decorations, Bar and Beverages, Catering and Food, Catalogue Writing, Entertainment Coordinators, Pot-Luck Dessert Table, Photo Slide Show, Volunteer Manager, and more.

Plus we need a special someone to work with and learn from Hagit to be the event’s general overseer and point person.

And we are looking for you funny parents interested in being this year’s M.C. Email [email protected] with questions.

This is our biggest fundraising event of our school year and we hope to raise upwards of 30% of our annual operating budget. It is shorter notice than previous years, but we have full confidence in the all-around pluck, spirit and awesomeness of our EVCS families! We can do this!
