EVCS Weekly Nov 19-23

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Next week brings one of our favorite school events,
the Annual Harvest Festival complete with a walk to the soup kitchen!
We will collect donations through Wednesday morning! Please continue to send items with your child directly to your classrooms. If everyone brought one item each day for the few days, we would have over 1,000 items! Next week we will need your help. The more hands we have, the easier this big job is! Please see link below to volunteer!

The EVCS PA Holiday Market Committee is gearing up for another makers fair Monday, December 10. For those who would like to participate as a vendor please see the details below. This is the time to reserve a table!

Let’s take a closer look at the details and see what’s coming up…

New Initiative
Celebrating diverse identities & cultures in classrooms:

The Diversity + Inclusion Committee is excited to invite students and families to and share their cultural heritage, identity, and the diversity within our school community through classroom book shares /read-alouds!

We are looking for parents, grandparents or other caregivers who would be interested in spending approx. 15-20 minutes reading a book (or poem) with a classroom of your choice in any month.

We’d like to kick this off in November and have at least one Diversity Book Share per month until June. Please let us know if you’d like to participate in whatever way you can by adding your name to this simple sign up form!

Click Here for the Diversity Book Share Sign Up

Future Diversity + Inclusion meetings will take place in evenings with pizza and childcare. Stay tuned for details on our next meet up.
