AT EVCS – We go outside! Even during cold months

Screen Shot 2016-01-04 at 2.24.30 PMHAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

At EVCS, we feel strongly about Children Playing Outside
even in the Winter Months!

Now that the temperatures have dropped, it’s time to be sure your kids are dressed warmly. Please include hats, scarves, mittens or gloves, insulated coats and boots with warm socks. Layering is also a good idea. If you are sending in a dry pair of shoes or socks please be sure to remind your child and or your teacher.

Please clearly label all of your items.

We do take the kids outside on cold days and they need to be prepared.

• Provides Exercise
Many children don’t get enough exercise and exercising
while having fun is the best kind.

• Stimulates the Imagination

• Builds Up Immune System

• Promotes Problem Solving Skills
Regardless of if they’re learning how to get along with friends
or trying to figure out the best way to build something, they’re
problem solving.

• Provides Vitamin D
Provided by the sun. Vitamin D helps promote better moods,
energy levels, memory, overall health. Just 10 to 15 minutes
out in the sun will give your children their daily dose of Vitamin D.

All best wishes for a great week, stay warm!

Welcome Back!
