As some of you may know, Strand now hosts children’s events every Saturday and Sunday, twice per day. As such, I’ll be sending you information on the events once per month rather than for each event. All of this information will always be updated on Strand’s Children’s homepage here: http://www.strandbooks.com/children

Please find information below on all storytime events for May 2015. All events are hosted at Strand Book Store (Broadway at 1 in our children’s department, free of charge, and open to the public.

CHARACTER VISIT: SESAME STREET’S ELMO IS BACK AT STRAND!
Saturday, May 2 @ 11am-12pm & 2-3pm
Sunday, May 3 @ 11am-12pm & 2-3pm

Making his way down Sesame Street and into our very own storytime is the always lovable Elmo. Spreading smiles and hugs along the way he decided to stop by and share in a few of his very own adventures. Come join us Saturday, May 2nd and Sunday, May 3rd at 11AM and 2PM as one of the greatest characters the world over visits the Strand for stories and crafts.

Life in the 100 Acre Wood can be rough, especially for a certain someone who tends to misplace his tail from time to time. Good ol’ Eeyore is stopping by and hopefully we can help pin the tail on the donkey! Come join us on Saturday, May 9th from2PM-3PM and Sunday, May 10th from 11AM-12PM and again from 2PM-3PM to welcome Spring with a storytime and free craft!

CHARACTER VISIT: THE CAT IN THE HAT

Summer is finally here and no one is more suited to kick things off with a bang than the infamous Cat in the Hat! He’s bringing fun and activities that are sure to inspire everyone’s imagination. Come join us Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th at 11AM and 2PM, for what is sure to be a memorable story time featuring Dr. Seuss’ most beloved character.

CHARACTER VISIT: FROZEN’S ELSA IS BACK AT STRAND!

Spring is here and who better to celebrate the season than with the Frozen princess herself, Elsa! Her touch may be icy but she’s warmed our hearts with her love and joyful voice that’s second to none. Come join us on Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th at 11AM and 2PM, for a very special storytime and crafts session with this beloved character.

CHARACTER VISIT: CURIOUS GEORGE AND THE MAN IN THE YELLOW HAT VISIT THE STRAND!

The world’s favorite, most curious, little monkey is making his way to the Strand for a fun filled afternoon. Get ready, because Curious George is here and he’s got the Man in the Yellow Hat by his side. Come join us Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st at 11AM and 2PM for a storytime and craft designed to tickle your funny bone!
