Steven (fundraising chair) told everyone he is making another push for family contributions, we need $10,000 more to reach our goal of $30,000 for the year.
Tricia (Treasurer) reminded parents why we need money in our budget and what it pays for (music, theater)
James announced that the Jubilee will be held Feb. 7 at Tammany Hall with music performances that will be announced at a later date.
Also, the first meeting for our May fundraising Gala is Jan. 28 after drop off in the cafeteria.
BOYS ARTS EXPRESS
The Children’s Arts Guild is an afterschool program for boys of all elementary school ages. Some of you may remember the “Boys Will Be Boys” workshop held last year, presented to us by Alexander Kopelman and his associate. They are now opening up the program to East Village Community School and will pick up any boys who register from our school and bring them to Earth School for the program where parents can pick them up at the end of the session. EVCS Afterschool will hold a special midday session from 11:30a-2:50p on Friday, January 17th (which is an early dismissal day for all classes), that will include art and physical activity. The cost for each child is $35, payable via PayPal, cash or by check to EVCS Parent Association.
