Announcing the EVCS Performing Arts Collective

After-school Music and Theater Programs
Mondays and Tuesdays, 3pm to 5pm
All EVCS students — all ages — are welcome

MUSIC on Mondays — EVCS World Music
Directed by professional musician and music teacher Khabu, along with classically trained jazz musician Martha Kessler and world-renowned Flamenco musician and teacher Alfonso Mogoburo. The program will explore songs from around the world and urge students to create new musical compositions through improvisational structures and games. Other guest artists — drawn from the many EVCS parents who are also amazing musicians — will lend their expertise.

THEATER on Tuesdays — Find Your Light
InFlight Director Elise Stone and adored EVCS guest teacher Kelli Holsopple are putting together an amazing program of classical technique, character development, improvisation, and storytelling. Laugh, play, be, grow: everyone is a shining star in the Find Your Light acting workshop. What does it take to make a play happen? Join us and see for yourself.

Assistant Principal Bradley Goodman will accompany each music class. EVCS teacher and performance artist Georga Accola will accompany theater.

Each program will culminate in a student performance in the spring.

This new Performing Arts Collective is an amazing opportunity to tap into the talented EVCS community, bringing parents, teachers, and administrators together to create a unique afterschool experience for our children.

Both the music and theater programs will run for 22 weeks starting at the end of September.

Cost per student is $250 for one program or $440 for both. Payment in full is required by September 21, though installment plans are available if needed. Second siblings receive a 10% discount.
